Visitors were welcomed in a whole school assembly. They were then part of a presentation, including introductions from each school, speeches by some significant guests (including the Head of Education for West Berkshire and the Mayor of Reading) and a tour of the school delivered by the house captains. In the afternoon, the visitors took part in a 'Forest School' session.

Tuesday 5th July 2022
The children in Year 5 presented their final pieces to the guests, as part of their project about urbanisation. The guests were able to talk with the children to find out more about their work and the process they had undertaken. Following this, a presentation was given about how to deliver project-based learning and the visitors were given time to begin to plan their own project-based learning teaching sessions. Later on, the guests visited Reading Museum and had a tour of the town. |

A day trip into London was organised, where visitors enjoyed a river tour, entry to the London Eye and a West End theatre show.

Thursday 7th July 2022
In the morning, visitors received a talk from Tim Dixon, a professor from Reading University who holds the professorial chair in sustainable futures in the built environment. They were then given time to continue designing their project-based learning teaching sessions, and these were fed back to the wider group. The opportunity was then given for visitors to spend some time in the classrooms, speaking with the children and staff and observing and participating in lessons. |

The morning was spent reflecting on the week, along with a presentation of certificates and gifts. This was then followed by a traditional afternoon tea to bid farewell to the guests.
